Johnson: A year in review & what’s ahead at Bossier Chamber

by BIZ Magazine

Your Bossier Chamber of Commerce continues to work in the community and tackling challenges head-on. The past two years have demanded innovation, partnership, and leadership – core values our chamber embraces, so we can build a future and design it so we have an even greater impact. We are thankful for you – our member businesses – for your membership, partnership, and collaboration in this important work.

While focused on the future, the Bossier Chamber is driven by the work of our members. And with your support we were able to share our collective knowledge and expertise.

In 2023, we:

  • Welcomed 85 new members and hosted 63 ground breakings or ribbon cuttings.
  • Had over 45,000 page views to our website of visitors looking for content, resources and more.
  • Welcomed new leadership to Barksdale Air Force Base as well as to many companies throughout the region.
  • Crunched economic numbers, honored our heroes, named some deserving businesses/business people of the year and had a little networking fun, too!
  • Rounded out the year by announcing our 2024 launch of Community Development Institute in Louisiana, right here in Bossier City, to train our community leaders.

We are honored to work alongside each of you each day and encourage you to stay connected and reach out any time a member of our staff can be helpful.

  • Events - stay in touch with trends and topics through the Chamber’s annual events, where we network, educate and provide opportunities for and with our members.
  • Awards – nominate an outstanding business or business person to be recognized among their peers at our annual meeting. We love to tout our great business community!
  • Community Development Institute – a one-of-a-kind program only offered at six sites around the country, become a champion within the community by attending this training, offered for the first time in Bossier City in 2024!

We look forward to continuing to provide you and your community with the highest level of forward-thinking and practical resources. We’re stronger together and are counting on your continued membership.

We are here to answer any questions you may have, provide guidance and be helpful in any way. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to a member of the team. We look forward to continuing to work with you in 2024.

Lisa Johnson is president of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce
