Shreveport organizations are teaming up to help businesses navigate years’ worth of work on the city’s major interstate system.
The Shreveport Downtown Development Authority, Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, and Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a free I-20 Rehab Business Meeting 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Artspace, 708 Texas St.
LaDOTD is launching a major 2-year project on I-20 through Shreveport and Bossier City starting Sept. 17. Rehab and repair will be happening on the Shreveport side, in Bossier City, the state is going down to the dirt for a total rebuild. During much of the project, only one lane in each direction will be open in Bossier City from Hamilton Road to Industrial Drive.
Delays are inevitable during this period, and travel around Shreveport-Bossier will become more challenging. This construction will affect you and your business, and you need to know details to make plans.
What are the best ways to deal with this, to prepare NOW so that our businesses and employees will not suffer, and to make sure that visitors to our region can still get around?
