Shreveport Chamber breakfast to focus on the relationship between LSUS and business community

The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce’s What’s Happening Breakfast will discuss LSU Shreveport’s current support and engagement with the business community Sept. 13 at 7:45 a.m. at LSUS.

The new LSUS Chancellor Dr. Robert Smith and two leaders from the LSUS team — Douglas White, director of the Center for Business and Economic Research, and Dr. Heather Carpenter, executive director of the Institute for Nonprofit Administration & Research — will discuss the following topics:

  • What LSUS brings to the community
  • Where is LSUS growing and areas of desired growth
  • How LSUS is more than just a provider of higher education
  • Goal of making LSUS a resource for the Shreveport/Bossier community
  • Release of the 2023 State of Nonprofits Economic Report
  • 2023 second quarter results for Northwest Louisiana (NWLA) Economic Dashboard
