The 4th Annual “Feed The Cops and Feed The Fire” event took place on Wednesday, June 28 and Thursday, June 29.

Started by Tim Jett (the owner of Jett Business Systems Inc.) in 2020, “Feed The Cops” is an annual outreach opportunity to honor, show support and feed law enforcement across Caddo and Bossier Parishes.

Last year, over 500 law enforcement personnel were served from the Shreveport Police Department, the Bossier City Police Department and the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Department.

This year, the event was expanded to include feeding the fire by providing meals for members of the Shreveport Fire Department.

“It’s an honor to provide a meal to the law enforcement personnel and first responders that do so much for us daily,” said Tim Jett. “We can’t imagine the difficulty these officers and firefighters face as they protect and serve us 24/7 365 days per year . “Feed The Cops” and “Feed The Fire” is just a simple way to honor these men and women and show them our appreciation.”

Jett Business Systems partnered with Silver Star Grille, Down Home Meats, Podnuh’s Barbecue, Bodacious Barbecue, Brookshire’s Grocery Company and Eagle Distributing of Shreveport to provide an incredible spread.

The menu included: brisket, ribs, turkey, sausage, potato salad, beans, Holy Angels’ homemade cookies, Papa T’s award-winning chicken wings and Miss Amy’s famous jambalaya.
