BATON ROUGE – The LSU E. J. Ourso College of Business is proud to announce the establishment of the Center for Economics, Business, and Policy Research (CEBPR). The center, housed in the E. J. Ourso College, is a research group that aims to provide relevant, timely research and insights that inform decision-making, shape policy, and advance the fields of business, economics, and public affairs in Louisiana.
CEBPR’s research spans a wide range of topics, including healthcare outcomes, economic policy, and community development, among others. The center is highly collaborative and multidisciplinary, leveraging the collective strengths and expertise of all departments in the Ourso College, including scholars in public administration, finance, economics, and real estate. CEBPR will also leverage the expertise of diverse researchers from across the LSU system campuses. The center pursues a mix of federal, state, local, and non-profit funding to address key Louisiana business, economics, and public affairs concerns.

By bringing together leading experts in economics, business, and public policy, this new unit will produce research that supports economic development and has a strong societal impact in Louisiana. We are excited to see the many ways in which this center will contribute to the state’s economic growth,” Dek Terrell, professor of economics and executive director of CEBPR.
CEBPR’s mission is to provide policymakers in Louisiana with informative research that leads to more effective governance and improves Louisiana’s economic prosperity through research that enriches the state’s business landscape. The center is committed to delivering research that advances the well-being of Louisiana and its residents.
