AT&T Boosts Network Speeds in Haughton & Benton

by BIZ Magazine

AT&T* has expanded its 5G network in the Haughton and Benton areas, giving residents, businesses and visitors a big boost in their wireless connectivity. Two new sites have been added to enhance the area’s coverage and capacity, and help customers access to the 5G network.

“Recently AT&T announced the availability of AT&T Fiber in Haughton, and today, they are expanding 5G in the area. These investments are vital for our area families and businesses,” said Bossier Parish Administrator Butch Ford.

Bossier Police Jury President Doug Rimmer noted that he is excited to see continuing investments across Bossier Parish to expand 5G access and availability because it is a investment which helps close the digital divide.

Bossier Parish Police Juror and Broadband Committee Chair Phillip Rodgers added, “I appreciate this kind of investment in modern, high-speed infrastructure from the private sector. With AT&T enhancing the wireless network in the area our businesses, residents, and first responders will benefit.”

AT&T 5G brings fast, reliable, and secure connectivity to more than 290 million people in over 24,000 cities and towns nationwide, which now includes Haughton and Benton. This helps Louisiana residents and businesses get the best possible experience over the AT&T network wherever they live, work, and play.

“There is something really special about one business investing in a community in a way that helps other businesses in the community thrive. We applaud AT&T for continuing to invest in critical connectivity in Benton and across Bossier Parish,” said Bossier Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Johnson.

From 2019 to 2021, AT&T has invested more than $1.1 billion in our wireless and wireline networks in Louisiana. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and their businesses.
