Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards to discuss climate change leadership and third wave industries at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week

NEW ORLEANS — On Thursday, March 30 at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, Governor John Bel Edwards will sit down with author Walter Isaacson for a discussion of the Governor’s climate legacy and his efforts to make Louisiana a bi-partisan leader in energy transition.

This session, titled Third Wave Industries & Climate Leadership in Louisiana presented in partnership with The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane, will take place from 1:30-2 p.m. at Gallier Hall immediately following Isaacson’s discussion with AOL co-founder Steve Case.

Case will speak about his books The Rise of the Rest: How Entrepreneurs in Surprising Places are Building the New American Dream and The Third Wave: An Entrepreneur’s Vision of the Future and how they relate to New Orleans’ growing position as a hub for entrepreneurial innovation. This session with Governor John Bel Edwards is part of a larger Energy Transition Mini-Summit: Presented by Halliburton Labs taking place at New Orleans Entrepreneur Week on Thursday morning and afternoon. This mini summit will feature multiple aspects of Climate & Climate Tech (investing, startups, policy, etc.). Other speakers include former United States Senator from Louisiana Mary Landrieu, United Airline Ventures President Mike Leskinen, Entergy’s Sustainability Director Rick Johnson, and more. While attendance to Wednesday and Thursday programming at Gallier Hall is free, attendees will need to register for a NOEW Access Pass. The inaugural NOEW Fest is a music experience inside NOEW, with original live music programming on March 30th – April 1st. Taking place at Generations Hall on Thursday and Friday evenings, and at the Broadside on Saturday afternoon, NOEW Fest will welcome attendees from across the region to extend their visit through the weekend.
