Shreveport Mayoral candidate LeVette Fuller releases video series outlining platform

by BIZ Magazine

Shreveport mayoral candidate LeVette Fuller is taking to social media to explain her platform to Shreveport voters.

In a video series called “LeVette Explains”, Fuller shares why she believes Shreveport’s challenges exist and what she will do to fix them. The videos, which are less than three minutes each, are intended to engage citizens in new ways.

“One of the major problems with Shreveport’s leadership has been a lack of accessibility and communication,” Fuller said. “Too often, the people aren’t being invited into the conversation and decisions end up being made behind closed doors.”

The topics Fuller explores in the series include why Shreveport has broken roads and a troubled water system as well as crime, blight, and economic development. Each video concludes with what she believes it will take to fix each of these issues. More videos will be released in the coming weeks featuring topics such as job creation, trust and transparency in local government, and how she intends to pay for her ambitious plan to revitalize Shreveport’s core neighborhoods and increase quality of life.

“In a Fuller administration, we will make sure everyone in Shreveport knows about the issues we want to address and how we intend to address them. Change happens at the speed of trust. Without the trust of the people, it’s very hard for local government to make the moves we need to tackle issues like crime, economic development, and infrastructure. These videos are an example of how we can do things differently by explaining the thought process behind a decision.”

The videos can be found on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and the LeVette Fuller campaign website.
