Mount Canaan Baptist Church is partnering with Dress for Success Shreveport-Bossier for a suit drive for men in the community from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Mount Canaan Baptist Church 1666 Alston St. Shreveport, LA 71101.
Patrons in the community are encouraged to donate gently used suits for men as well as professional button-down shirts. Please bring items clean and on hangers for a smooth transition for those who are in need.
The “Suits for Saints” committee from Mount Canaan Missionary Baptist Church is very excited to partner with the Dress for Success program in order to meet the physical needs of men throughout the City of Shreveport. “Dressing in a nice suit for Church or a job interview is very important for an individual because, if you look good you will feel good”, said Paul Pratt, one of the founders of this annual clothing drive program.
“The partnership is vital to our community as Mt. Canaan develops a plan to prepare men with the necessities needed to enter the workforce. Dress for Success is here to help in any way we can,” said Erica McCain, Executive Director.
