The Young Professionals Initiative (YPI) October Lunch and Learn will feature speaker Arien Ragster discussing “Wows and Wonder of Travel” with the tips and tricks to get the most out of your travel.
Ragster will touch on how to pack efficiently, best ways to save for the trip of a lifetime, and great destinations for all trips whether with family, friends, or solo.
YPI’s Lunch and Learn will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19 at noon at the Chamber Plaza at 400 Edwards Street, Shreveport. Registration check-in begins at 11:30 a.m.
Speaker Arien Ragster is the Senior Program Coordinator for the Louisiana Public Health Institute and is a Certified Mental Health First Aid Youth Instructor. She also is the owner of Diva of Destinations Travel Agency where she books travel for herself and others and shows others how to do the same.
She is a graduate of Texas Southern University with an Executive Master of Business Administration. During her time at TSU, she studied abroad traveling to Beijing and Shanghai, China for an international studies trip where she learned the complexities of global issues in a specific cultural and geographical context and comparatively across multiple locations. Arien’s motto in life is “If I do what I’ve always done, I will be what I’ve always been”.
