EAP to unveil new wall of entrepreneurial achievement, add 10 new local startups

Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program (EAP) will unveil new wall of entrepreneurial achievement, add 10 new local startups new local startup companies to it Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at the Intertech Science Park, 2031 Kings Highway, Shreveport.

EAP will unveil the new companies and the new name and design of the wall in BRF’s Intertech 1 lobby at 2031 Kings Highway in Shreveport.

The wall has been renamed after Dolores ‘Sissy’ LaVigne in recognition of LaVigne’s major gift to BRF to establish the Dolores George LaVigne Endowment for Entrepreneurship. BRF’s Board has also contributed to the fund, which is $2 million and will be used to support EAP operations.  

Speakers will include Dr. John George, Jr., BRF president and CEO, and Dave Smith, EAP executive director.

EAP, an initiative of BRF, is a public-private partnership to diversify the regional economy, create jobs  and expand the area’s tax base by providing services to innovative startups that have high growth  potential. EAP has helped its companies create more than 300 jobs with an annual payroll of $18.2 million. EAP has screened over 1,300 ideas and provided services to 436 companies that have raised almost  $139  million in capital.
