BPCC to host trining on communication and dealing with a multi-generational workforce

BPCC will host a Maximizing Communication/Dealing with a Multi-Generational Workforce Training Friday, Sept. 23 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This course is intended for all levels in any organization, from shop floor to management. Clear and effective communication is necessary to impact organizational culture, productivity, service, quality and the bottom line. Today’s organizations require extraordinary teamwork that focuses on key critical priorities for the organization to deliver results. This is particularly challenging as business demands are high and workers span a wide range of backgrounds and experience.

This training will be delivered by an industry professional using the DISC Methodology. Students will learn how to craft effective messages to reach people exhibiting each behavioral style and will participate in individual and group exercises to reinforce these concepts. Course participants will leave this class with proven tools to enhance their personal communication skills and impact their organization.

Topics covered will include DISC Assessment (understanding Styles and how each type communicates or receives information), Specific challenges in Communicating Across Generational Norms, Leveraging Communication Techniques to ensure Clarity and Problem Solving communication issues.

The event will be held at BPCC Building L, room 115. Cost to attend is $150 per person.
