SporTran, Shreveport to announce RAISE Grant

SporTran and the City of Shreveport will discuss the RAISE Grant announced Aug. 9 by U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy.

SporTran and partners will hold a press conference at 10:00 AM Monday, August 15, 2022, at the corner of Kings Highway and Mansfield Road (CMIT at 2120 Kings Hwy., Shreveport, LA 71103) to share the details of this exciting development for the local community.

The RAISE Grant, facilitated by SporTran CEO Dinero’ Washington, will provide funding for major transit and infrastructure upgrades to Shreveport’s medical district.

“Today’s announcement marks the start of transformational change to our healthcare corridor that is vital to the economic growth of our city,” states Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins. “SporTran will work with our healthcare partners on the development of transportation projects that will be beneficial to all Shreveporters. This funding serves as the catalyst for bringing much needed infrastructure improvements to our city.”
