PuroClean of Shreveport to host golf tournament benefitting Providence House

by BIZ Magazine

PuroClean of Shreveport will host a golf tournament on Saturday, April 9th beginning at 9am. The tournament will take place at the historic Huntington Park Golf Course, 8300 Pines Road. The 18-hole course, designed for play in 1965, was made to order for big hitters and has been home to both local and regional tournaments.

PuroClean provides water damage and mold remediation, fire damage restoration, and biohazard clean up in the ArkLaTex region. When Brad Brossette first opened the business, his plan included giving back to his community. He and business manager, Mike Landry, formed a relationship with Providence House out of a need and it quickly became a partnership. “I was just blown away to see a 4-star childcare center, an adult HiSET program to help folks earn a GED, and a BPCC extension that provides workforce
development. I seriously didn’t realize how much on-campus help Providence
House provides — not only to its residents, but to the surrounding
community.”

Verni Howard, Executive Director at Providence House shared, “For 34-years, we have focused on one single mission- breaking the homeless cycle one family at a time. Food, clothing, and shelter alone will not accomplish the goal. Education and job skills training lead every effort of the mission- it’s the only way to break the cycle permanently. Whenever corporate partners step in to support non-profit providers, great things happen. Providence House is grateful for the partnership and friendship with PuroClean.” Providence House offers services to homeless families with children and families at imminent risk of becoming homeless.
