The Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce has announced that Jeff Miller has been chosen to receive the 2021 Young Business Leader of the Year award.
Jeff Miller is the Director of Teen Development for the Boys & Girls Club of North Louisiana. His work at the Boys and Girls Club for the last 19 years has contributed to the growth and enhancement of the local Boys & Girls Club. He provides our young people with a wealth of educational, recreation, and social activities in a positive setting. Jeff goes out of his way to make sure the youth of this community have an opportunity to experience things that may not be available to them in any other forum. His influences have steered many of the club’s teens toward higher education.
His spirited passion, winning personality, and abundant leadership skills naturally draws young people to him, thus providing him the opportunity to nurture and develop those individual’s character traits that allow them to develop into solid and productive citizens. His heart for the youth of this community impacts the future of these young lives, their families, and our community overall.
Jeff is a member of New Living Word Ministries and he holds a Mass Communication degree from Grambling State University. When he’s not working at the Boys & Girls Club, he is working at Glenview Elementary as the Behavioral Interventionist and the Lincoln Parish School Board Transportation Department. He is an active volunteer with the William Brothers Basketball program, Isaiah Buggs Funday/Camp, and is a RPAR coach. When the Headstart school was devastated in a fire, Jeff volunteered with Haircuts for Headstart. In 2017, Jeff received the Chamber of Commerce Everyday Excellence Award. He has also received certifications from the Emerging Leadership program and the Arthur L. Williams Directors Academy.
