NLEP wraps up 2021 North Louisiana Manufacturing Month

NLEP has wrapped up North Louisiana Manufacturing Month for 2021 by reaching over 659 students, touching 16 manufacturing companies, introducing six training programs and providing 28 tours.

North Louisiana Manufacturing Month is a program launched in 2014 by NLEP and the Manufacturing Managers Council of NWLA as a way to expose high school students to the manufacturing industry and the good careers it provides.

Manufacturing is a significant economic driver of the north Louisiana region and makes up the vast majority of projects in the NLEP pipeline, so the agency uses this month as a way to ensure there is a strong pool of talent to meet the industry’s needs.
