Leadership Lincoln’s focus in October was Economic and Workforce Development. Class XXXV visited with Jacques Lasseigne from the LA Workforce Commission, John Freeman & Haley Perot from the City of Ruston, Liz Pierre from the N. LA Economic Partnership (NLEP), Grace Ruiz from LA Delta Community College and Bill Sanderson, Mayor of Choudrant. Chick-fil-A lunch was provided by Origin Bank and snacks were sponsored by United Way of NELA. Blake Wheelis and Michelle Tolar also briefly spoke to the group about giving back to the community through United Way and other resources. The class attended a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new Chamber member, Michelle Long, Certified Personal Trainer. The November agenda focus will be Government & Judicial.
