Argent Financial Group, a leading independent fiduciary wealth management firm, today announced that Vice President, Director of Marketing Sarah Warren has been named Origin Bank Young Business Leader of the Year by the Ruston-Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

The award recognizes a business leader under the age of 45 whose work positively affects their company and the community. The award is open to young entrepreneurs, business employees, and civic-minded individuals who have contributed to the health of the business environment in Lincoln Parish.

Warren was honored during the chamber’s 101st Annual Awards Banquet held May 25 at the Library Events Center in Ruston.

“Since becoming a member of the Argent family, Sarah has been a tireless advocate for our clients, our company and our community,” said Argent Financial Group CEO Kyle McDonald. “She embodies Argent’s culture of ‘humble confidence’ and always acts in the best interest of others. We congratulate her on this well-deserved award.”

She was nominated for her work in 2020 with Dallas-based RETREET to organize a tree planting following the 2019 tornado that destroyed a significant portion of Ruston’s tree canopy, as well as her involvement with Real Change in Ruston, an organization working to address racial equality in the city. Specifically, her role with the RCIR group is as a facilitator with the Faith & Finances program, offered in partnership with Zion Traveler Community Development Corporate, which is working to address financial literacy with the ultimate goal of generational wealth creation in Ruston’s black community.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized by the Chamber with this award,” said Warren. “There are so many professionals who have made incredible contributions to their companies and our community. I applaud their work and look forward to continuing to deliver positive change in Ruston and Lincoln Parish.”

In her role as vice president, director of marketing, Warren oversees the development and implementation of marketing and branding strategies, including sales support, internal and external communications and employee engagement. Before joining Argent in 2013, Warren co-owned Emogen Marketing Group, an ADDY award-winning marketing agency in Ruston.

She earned her master’s degree in business administration from the University of Louisiana at Monroe — where she was named Outstanding MBA Graduate of 2007 — and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana Tech University. In 2020, she earned the dual certification of Professional Certified Marketer – Digital Marketing Pro from the American Marketing Association and Digital Marketing Institute.

A Ruston native, Warren is active in the community through her work for United Way’s annual Dollars & Sense Reality Fair and as a certified facilitator with Faith & Finances. She also serves on Ruston’s Planning and Zoning Commission and is an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was recently nominated to serve on the Endowment Committee. In May 2020, she was recognized by Argent with the inaugural Pay it Forward award for her efforts in spearheading a creative, multi-state donation campaign that provided essential worker meals and assistance during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.
