Makeup Mogul “Supa” will be the Keynote Speaker at Classic Expo, April 16

Local businesses encouraged to participate by securing a vendor booth

The Classic Expo presented by the Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce will be, April 15-17, at the Shreveport Convention Center from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. This year’s business expo promises to be one of the biggest yet with makeup mogul Raynell “Supa” Steward, founder of The Crayon Case cosmetic company based in New Orleans. The Crayon Case made $850,000 in its first six months in business and since then the company has made more than $10 million in sales in the first 18 months of business. Supa has never strayed from her core values of giving back. She founded Supa Kidz in September 2020, a nonprofit organization aimed to help kids realize and develop their talents.

“Since we’ve been in the pandemic many small businesses have had to shutter their doors,” said Billy Anderson, SBAACC Executive Director. “The Classic Expo is the perfect opportunity for small business owners to showcase their products and network with other business owners. Our keynote speaker Supa knows what its like to work a full-time job while building a brand. I’m excited for her to share her story as I feel a lot of small business owners and young entrepreneurs can relate to some of the struggles that she experienced and learn a great deal from her.”

Local Shreveport-Bossier business owners are encouraged to participate in the Classic Expo by securing a vendor booth to promote or sale their products and/or services during the three-day expo. In addition to the vendor booths, there will be several engaging panel discussions. This event is free and open to the public.
