Fashion Prize Announces Collaboration Event with Fashion Design Sensation Steven Goudeau

SHREVEPORT, LA — Northwest Louisiana’s premier fashion design competition, Fashion Prize, is proud to announce its first professional Mentor Session of the 2021 competition year featuring the fashion sensation Steven Goudeau, Head Designer of Stephen Goudeau, LLC based out of Dallas, Texas (Instagram, Facebook). The event is Sunday, February 28th at 3pm.

Steven’s goal in the industry has been to leave a strong, persevering stamp for people of color of any sex, age, and background. He firmly believes, and wants others to understand, that Black Lives Do Matter and he wants the example of his life to leave footprints in the fashion world that help stamp out stereotypes of people of color being seen as subpar. You’ll often see on Steven’s social media the quote, “Black fashion designers do exist…” It’s a statement of truth for him, and other black designers worldwide, whether the world accepts it or not.

During this contestant-exclusive event, Steven will impart industry knowledge and inspiration to Fashion Prize 2021 competitors and help prepare them for the road ahead to the Fashion Prize finals. Only designers registered for Fashion Prize 2021 may attend. Designers who wish to participate can register at
