Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission Elects 2021 Officers

The Caddo-Bossier Parishes Port Commission has elected its officers to lead the Port in 2021.

Roy Griggs was re-elected for a second year as President of the Commission. Walter O. Bigby Jr., will continue to serve as Vice President. And Bill Altimus will serve another term as Secretary-Treasurer.

“2020 was an interesting and challenging year for The Port of Caddo-Bossier, and I would like to commend The Port’s employees for going above and beyond,” said Commission President Roy Griggs. “We will continue to face challenges this year. However, we are already seeing potential expansion and improvements by some Port-based companies.”

Roy Griggs was appointed to the Port Commission in 2015 to represent the City of Shreveport. He served as Port Commission Vice President in 2018 and 2019 and Secretary-Treasurer in 2016 and 2017.

The 3,500 acre Port of Caddo-Bossier is located at the head of navigation on the Red River Waterway in Northwest Louisiana. An inland multi-modal transportation and distribution center, The Port works hand in hand with the port system of Louisiana to successfully link customers throughout the Ark-La-Tex region to domestic and international markets via the Mississippi River, the nation’s largest river system, and the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway.
