Dr. Cherie Ann Nathan, Chair of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at LSU Health Shreveport has been elected to the Board of Governors of the American Surgical Society for an initial three-year term ending at the conclusion of the 2023 Clinical Congress.
The members of the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Board of Governors (B/G) serve as an official, direct communications link between the Board of Regents (B/R) and the Fellows. The ACS has a total of 294 Governors comprised of 157 Governors At-Large, representing each U.S. state and Canadian province and territory; 88-specialty society Governors; and 49 international Governors. The Board of Governors is structured under 5 Pillars and 13 workgroups.
