Shreveport Architect Mischa Farrell, AIA, was elected as President-Elect of the AIA Louisiana Board of Directors for 2021 during the AIA Louisiana Design Conference on Architecture on September 23 and will assume the presidency in 2022. The conference was held virtually this year due to COVID-19.
In addition, Baton Rouge Architect Whitney B. LeJeune, AIA, was elected as Secretary/Treasurer. This position is for a 2-year term. Baton Rouge architect Rex Cabaniss, AIA, was formally inducted to assume the presidency of the Louisiana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Board of Directors for 2021.
Farrell is principal of Misha Farrell Architect in Shreveport. She has served on the AIA Shreveport Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee of AIA Shreveport and AIA LA. She is also on the board of the Louisiana Architecture Foundation that conducts monthly events about architecture for the community.
Cabaniss is a partner and planning and design director with WHLC Architecture in Baton Rouge and Fairhope, AL. LeJeune is an associate with RHH Architects of Baton Rouge.
