by BIZ Magazine

Young professionals in the SBC have a little longer to be nominated for the 2020 40 Under 40 class. According to a release from the Young Professionals Initiative of Northwest Louisiana, the 14th Annual 40 Under 40 Awards Program has extended its nomination deadline to Friday, June 5 at 5 p.m.

This popular program, culminating in the December Gala, recognizes and honors a wide variety of young professionals, age 40 and under, for their leadership skills and community impact. Nominations can be submitted here. This year’s 40 Under 40 ceremony is slated for Saturday, December 5.

“In the midst of this pandemic, life as we know it has been disrupted,” the release read.”

“Many young professionals have been among those placed on the front-line, furloughed, working remotely and more. Out of this disruption, however, we have also seen acts of strength, grace and fortitude; many of the hallmarks of leadership that we look for in 40 Under 40 nominees.  Therefore, to ensure that we have the opportunity to recognize the communities’ most accomplished young professionals, YPI has extended the deadline by one week to allot more time for the Shreveport-Bossier community to nominate individuals to participate in this highly anticipated event. “

Young Professionals Initiative of Northwest Louisiana (YPI) is a networking organization and a direct extension of the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. YPI strives to provide networking, educational, and promotional experiences for young professionals in the Shreveport-Bossier area.
