Dr. Tynes, an internal medicine physician, is recognized as one of Louisiana’s Top Doctors and is dedicated to preventing, diagnosing and treating diseases that affect adults, like diabetes, hypertension, thyroid and cholesterol issues. In addition to general wellness, Dr. Tynes also provides EKG, spirometry, lab and x-ray interpretations. From common cold or a more urgent situation, Dr. Tynes knows that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure – and works with his patients closely on preventive medicine.

Dr. Tynes is a Louisiana native, and now resides in Shreveport. He attended Louisiana Tech University for his undergraduate degree and earned his medical degree in 2000, before completing his internal medicine residency, both from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. Dr. Tynes has been in private practice, serving patients across Shreveport-Bossier since 2003, and has been named to both SB Magazine and Louisiana Life Magazine’s “Top Doctors” lists more than 20 times. He enjoys spending time with his wife and children, traveling and playing bass guitar.
