Bossier Parish Police Jury members will conduct its regular business meeting Wednesday, May 6 both in person and by teleconference.

In order to comply with Governor John Bel Edwards’ directive on public gatherings, no more than 10 people will be allowed in the jury meeting room. An emergency declaration that closed the Bossier Parish Courthouse to the public has been extended until Friday, May 15.

In an effort to protect the public during the COVID-19 health emergency, the following guidelines have been established to allow the public participation to the fullest extent possible while maintaining public safety:

A speaker will be placed outside to allow the public to hear the meeting live. In addition, the meeting will be live-streamed via the Bossier Parish Police Jury Facebook page beginning at 2:00 p.m.

(2) The public will be allowed and is encouraged to send questions or comments regarding items on the agenda to be read into the record of the meeting. Your name and address will be required in order for your questions or comments to be considered at the meeting.

 (3) There will be no agenda add-ons (additional items to consider) allowed at this public meeting.

A police jury finance committee and regular business meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m.  Voting agendas include mostly housekeeping items, scheduling public hearings, and a property standards violation.  Members will also vote to authorize advertising of bids, award bids, approve various amendments to the Unified Development Code, approve lease of parish owned property, amend the Three-Year Road Program, change a street name in a previously approved subdivision, and ratify approval of change orders.
