The Bossier Chamber of Commerce is reaching out to the community for donations to help the local health care community. The appeal came in the chamber’s weekly e-newsletter.
“As the president of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, in these times of uncertainty it is heartwarming to see the community come together and support one another through individual needs and corporate needs,” said Lisa Johnson, Bossier Chamber of Commerce President/CEO.
“Many of our businesses are making the ultimate sacrifice by temporarily closing or altering our services for social distancing. But there are other tangible ways to help – making masks, giving blood, donating cleaning supplies – that can give us all a sense of purpose as we support our biggest heroes right now – our health care industry,” added Johnson.
Listed below is a list of local needs:
- Willis-Knighton is in need of N95 masks, surgical masks, and disposable thermometers. If you have access to these please call 318-212-7000 and ask for Todd Richard.
- CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System is in great need of Clorox Wipes/disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer. To donate call 318-681-4500.
