State-wide grant writing, funding workshop set for March 16 & 17 in Shreveport

The 26th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, in collaboration with North Shreveport Business Association and Roberts & Murphy, Inc., will host a state-wide grant writing workshop at the Northwest Louisiana Technical Community College, 2010 N. Market St., Shreveport, on March 16, 2020, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and an optional grant development workshop on March 17, 2020, from 9 a.m. to noon, for participants needing assistance in writing and grant proposal funding.

This grant writing workshop is designed for nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, churches, law enforcement, health organizations, government agencies, and for-profit businesses, seeking to write competitive grant applications and proposals for Foundation Grants, Corporate Grants, and Government Grants for funding.  No previous experience in grant writing is required.

Dr. John Porter, President of the American Grant Writers’ Association, will conduct the workshop.

The fee for the workshop is $100.00, and includes sample grant proposals, worksheet handouts, Certificate of Completion and lunch.
