Argent Financial Group wins 2020 Private Asset Management Award for Best Philanthropic/Educational Initiative

by BIZ Magazine

RUSTON – Argent Financial Group, a leading independent fiduciary wealth management firm, has won Best Philanthropic/Educational Initiative in the 2020 Private Asset Management Awards hosted by Private Asset Management magazine.

This is the second year in a row that Argent Financial Group has won a PAM Award. The company was named Best Trustee Service in 2019.

“We are honored to receive this award for our community service,” said Kyle McDonald, CEO of Argent Financial Group. “It reflects the passion, commitment and dedication of our team members, who are always ready to help people in every community that we serve. We are grateful and humbled by this recognition.”

Blair Hull, philanthropic services associate with Argent, was present to receive the award on behalf of the company at a gala dinner on Feb. 6 in New York City. Argent was recognized for its role in forming the Lincoln Parish Fund of the Community Foundation of North Louisiana, which was created in early 2019 to improve the quality of life for all Ruston-area citizens.

The fund was used to aid those affected by the April 25, 2019, tornado that devastated the local area. More than $160,000 has been raised to date for disaster recovery, including distributions to the city of Ruston to repair damaged light poles and to aid area schools, religious charities and nonprofit organizations, including the Louisiana Tech Foundation, Lincoln Parish School Board, Grambling State University Foundation, Rolling Hills Ministry, Grace Methodist Church’s Disaster Relief Fund, The Springs and the United Way.

The fund also helped pay for an effort on Feb. 8, 2020, led by Dallas-based, non-profit RETREET, to replace more than 2,000 trees lost in the storm. RETREET members and 152 volunteers from Argent, the city and across the country planted 171 trees in some of Ruston’s hardest-hit areas.

“Argent Financial Group and its executives have emerged as philanthropic leaders in Ruston,” said Kristina Gustavson, CEO for Community Foundation of North Louisiana. “The fund has truly improved the quality of life for all Ruston area citizens. We are proud to be Argent’s partner in this endeavor.”

For more than two decades, the Private Asset Management Awards have recognized national leaders in the private wealth management industry.

The awards are designed for top investment professionals, wealth advisors, legal firms, consultants and other key service providers operating within the private asset management industry to showcase achievements over the course of the last year. The judging process, using an independent panel made up of industry experts, is based on a mixture of qualitative and quantitative performance indicators.
