CHRISTUS Louisiana Athletic Club – Shreveport invites the fitness-focused, health-conscious and those looking for a great deal on a new gym membership to join them for a Grand Re-Opening Ribbon Cutting and Open House celebration on Jan. 23.
“We are incredibly excited to show off this facility to the public, and we have a ton of great things in store for everyone who attends,” said Megan Leehy, Manager, CHRISTUS Louisiana Athletic Club – Shreveport, Bossier. “The open house will be a chance for us to welcome Club members, to see how we’ve improved the facility for them.”
The expanded location near the Inner Loop at I-49 has a brand new, expanded spin room, a relocated and revamped yoga/Pilates studio and a remodeled weight room extended to for more space and equipment.
The event is also a chance for anyone interested in the facility or its myriad programs to learn more – and to get a great deal. CHRISTUS Louisiana Athletic Club is already offering to waive the enrollment fees for anyone who joins during the month of January, but anyone who joins on the event day, Jan. 23, will receive a month’s membership at no cost.
The event will also be a celebration of CHRISTUS Outpatient Neuro Therapy relocating from the hospital to CHRISTUS Louisiana Athletic Club. CHRISTUS Outpatient Neuro Therapy assists patients with physical, occupational and speech therapy rehabilitating from stroke, brain trauma, progressive neurological diseases, and other brain or spinal cord illness or injury. Driving screenings are also available at this location.
“The Athletic Club here in Shreveport is a wonderful asset for this community because it encourages fitness and a healthy lifestyle, but also because it offers a welcoming and accessible home to the CHRISTUS Outpatient Neurology Therapy clinic,” said Nick Huckaby, PT, DPT, Director of Rehabilitation, CHRISTUS Shreveport-Bossier Health System. “This new location provides easy access for our patients, direct parking spots. We are very excited to be here and are looking forward to the future!”
The Athletic Club is also hosting reunions and victory laps for several groups associated with CHRISTUS to include CHRISTUS Cardiac Rehab, Parkinson’s Exercises Class, CHRISTUS Outpatient Neuro, and CHRISTUS Kids Clinic.
