University Veterinary Hospital (UVH) in Shreveport was the only business in northwest Louisiana that was named to the LSU 100.

The list recognizes the fastest-growing LSU alumni-owned and led businesses in the world.

(UVH) has been named for the first time to the ninth annual list, and ranked in the top half at No. 49.

Drs. Adam Foret and Catherine Foret, owners of UVH, are graduates of The School of Veterinary Medicine at LSU.

“Our purpose has always been to improve the quality of lives of pets and their human families. Our local community has welcomed our purpose and we have led our business with the mindset of always staying positive, transparent, and being on the cutting edge of medicine for animals. We are honored to be among this impressive group of LSU led companies. Geaux Tigers.”

The husband and wife team were recognized at the annual gala held at the L’Auberge Casino Hotel in Baton Rouge on Nov. 22.

The LSU 100 is a highly competitive program that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses in the world. This year, LSU also introduced the ROARING 10 list.  From all of the companies that applied for the LSU100, the ROARING 10 list recognizes and celebrates the 10 highest revenue generating LSU graduate-owned or LSU graduate-led businesses.

Secure Shredding and Recycling International earned the ranking as the number one fastest growing company for the 2019 LSU 100.
