The Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce board of directors voted October 9th to support the 2019 Shreveport Bond Proposal.
“After meeting with Mayor Perkins and his administration, we are in full support of the City of Shreveport’s bond proposal,” stated Taylor Jamison, Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce board president. “We feel the bond propositions are critical to our local economy and keep our amenities and offerings aligned with cities of our same size. I personally believe Mayor Perkins has done a great job meeting with the community to ensure each citizen receives all of the necessary information and in-depth details of the bond proposal to make an informed decision this month.”
The Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce also wants to encourage all members and associated organizations to vote in the coming weeks. Early voting is open now through November 9th at the Caddo Registrar of Voters, located at 525 Marshall Street, Suite 103 in downtown Shreveport. Polls are open from 8:30am to 6pm each day.
