NATCHITOCHES —  The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the Leadership Natchitoches program is now actively accepting applications. This program is designed to prepare a diverse group of residents for leadership positions in the community. The curriculum will focus on education, workforce development, cultural diversity, historical relevance, tourism, government, healthcare, poverty, economic development, business & industry, art & culture, criminal justice system, law enforcement, infrastructure, and natural resources. The program will give graduates first-hand knowledge of the issues facing our parish and the potential for a positive community impact through volunteerism and inclusive leadership.

“Leadership Natchitoches will not only inform participants of the diversity of Natchitoches Parish, but will also instill in them a bond and trust only gained through mutual experience. This will expand professional networks, build confidence, and arm participants with the knowledge—and desire—to make positive changes in our Parish,” says Leadership Louisiana graduate and Natchitoches Community Alliance Executive Director, Tony Davis.

Nominees are accepted from public and private agencies, corporations, civic and other organizations, and as well as individual nominators. Applicants are accepted on demonstrated leadership ability through career or community achievements, concern for the future of the Natchitoches Area and commitment to the program. Interested parties may learn more about the program and how to apply at NatchitochesChamber.com/Leadership. Tuition for the program is $600. Limited scholarship funds are available upon request.

“Leadership Natchitoches will be one of most powerful learning experiences where a graduate will learn about every facet of Natchitoches – both opportunities and short comings. After completion, the numerous networking relationships forged and knowledge gained will allow the graduate to be a change agent within Natchitoches Parish and beyond,” says Leadership Louisiana graduate and Director of First Year Experience & Leadership Development at Northwestern State University, Van Erikson.

The Natchitoches Area Chamber of Commerce helps foster a thriving community through transformative leadership, collaboration, and innovation.
