Shreveport Airport to receive more than $500K in grants

The Shreveport Regional Airport has received more than $500,000 in federal grants.

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) awarded two grants, totaling more than $500,000, to the Shreveport Airport Authority.

The funds will be used for security enhancements and taxiway repairs at Shreveport Regional Airport.

“Shreveport Regional Airport is a driving economic force for north Louisiana and the surrounding area,” said U.S. Representative Mike Johnson (LA-04). “As one of the most popular airports in the state, it helps transport hundreds of thousands of passengers a year, producing a vast amount of jobs and income. We are eager to keep this success going and are thankful for DOT’s investment in that endeavor.”
