Sports BIZ Challenge unites business and athletics

The Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission is joining forces with the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, the Shreveport-Bossier African-American Chamber of Commerce, and area sports organizations to bring you the Sports BIZ Challenge.

This event is a series of competitions to promote healthy living and enhance the vitality of our local area and will be held Thursday, Oct. 17 at the LSUS campus. The Sports BIZ Challenge also serves as an opportunity to network with a variety of different organizations in the Shreveport-Bossier Community as well as getting involved with many of our great athletics partners.

Events include the Independence Bowl football toss, golf chip challenge, Risen Rock rock climbing, ALAS Archery Challenge, CABOSA soccer kick, softball home run derby, NWLA Community Tennis Association bullseye, SPAR Athletics obstacle course challenge, LSUS basketball challenge, and SBCA cornhole toss.

You can sign up and register here: The Team Captain will add four team members to finish their teams. The waivers are due to the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission one week prior to the event on Oct. 10. Lunch will start at 11:30 a.m. and will go until 12:45 p.m. and then we will have activities from 1-5 p.m. and then a post-event party from 5-7 p.m.
