KPMG has announced that Michael (Mike) Hufnagel has been named managing partner of KPMG’s Shreveport office, effective Aug. 1, 2019.
Hufnagel becomes the seventh managing partner in the 64-year history of the Shreveport office. Hufnagel will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of KPMG’s Shreveport office and supporting the development of its nearly 40 professionals and partners. He succeeds Donald “Dut” LeBlanc, Jr., who is retiring after 40 years with the firm.
“Michael Hufnagel brings more than 19 years of strong leadership and experience providing audit services to public and private global corporations in a broad array sectors including oil and gas, consumer, industrial, and communications,” said Tandra Jackson, KPMG’s regional managing partner. “Michael’s deep commitment to serving our clients, developing our people, and making a difference in the Shreveport, Monroe and El Dorado communities, makes him the perfect fit for the managing partner role.”

Hufnagel began his career with KPMG in Stamford, Connecticut in 2000, and transferred to the Shreveport office in 2012, and was admitted to the partnership in 2014. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting (summa cum laude) from the University of Connecticut, and is a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas and New York. Passionate about the greater Shreveport community, Hufnagel is actively involved with the North Louisiana Economic Partnership, Boy Scouts of America, and El Dorado Festival & Events activities, as well as involvement with local schools.
