by BIZ. Staff

MONROE — The Susan G. Komen Louisiana Board of Directors has announced Angee Nolan will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

In this role, Nolan will oversee the organization’s work at the state level. Currently, Komen Louisiana operates in 56 of the state’s 64 parishes including offices in Monroe, Baton Rouge and Shreveport with offices opening in Lafayette and Alexandria later this summer.

“It’s a pleasure to join Komen Louisiana in a professional capacity,” said Nolan. “I look forward to working with the incredible staff, volunteers, board members and community partners to advance the mission of Komen Louisiana in the months and years to come. My goal is to build capacity throughout the 56 parish service area and expand our local mission initiatives within the healthy landscape, in addition to funding local community grants.”

Nolan comes to Susan G. Komen Louisiana after more than 26 years in management at JP Morgan Chase and an extensive history of working with the Monroe affiliate in a volunteer capacity as a Race for the Cure Chairperson and a Board Member. She has a proven history of leadership both in her professional career and her service with nonprofits, which include United Way and the Hospice Promise Foundation, in addition to 10 years with Komen Louisiana.

“We are lucky to have Angee as our new CEO,” said Stacie Williams, Board President for Komen Louisiana. “Her previous experiences make her the right person for this opportunity. She has the board’s full support and we know she will lead this organization to greater heights in the future.”
