BPCC to host summer youth manufacturing camp

Bossier Parish Community College will hold a summer youth manufacturing camp, “Nuts, Bolts, & Thingamajigs,” from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  on June 17 -21 in Building L on the BPCC campus, 6220 E. Texas St., Bossier City.

The camp, for ages 12-16, is designed to introduce campers to the exciting world of manufacturing and engineering and the careers associated with those areas. Campers will design and print their own 3D project and will tour a helicopter facility. Cost for the weeklong camp is $59, which will include supplies, lunch, and a camp t-shirt. 

This camp is made possible by a national grant from the Foundation of the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association, International. Major sponsors are the CNA Foundation, SolidWorks Corporation, Miller Electric, Metro Aviation, and LA NPDT.
