Renisha J. Sanders, operations manager for Cardinaux Wealth Advisors, a Private Wealth Advisory Practice of Ameriprise Financial in Shreveport, has been named an honoree for Top Business Professional of the Year.

The Business Development Connection (BDC) is an organization that promotes building business and empowering change in the Shreveport community. Each year, the BDC recognizes outstanding minority individuals or businesses who are making a difference in the community at the Annual Minority Business Opportunity Awards Dinner. This year the organization will recognize outstanding Chamber members in the following award categories: Top Business Professional of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Small Business Owner of the Year, Business of the Year, Non-Profit Citizen of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement.

Honorees for the Top Business Professional of the Year award exemplify the highest standard of professional excellence, have a reputation on the job of a respected leader and are an example to his or her colleagues, have a record of accomplishments, and dedicates his or her time to providing service to the community.

Sanders has proven her professional excellence in her role at Cardinaux Wealth Advisors, where she’s helped grow the company in her near nine years of service. Sanders has also demonstrated her commitment to professional growth through her recent nomination as a 2018 40 Under Forty honoree by the Young Professional Initiative of Northwest Louisiana, an award that recognizes individuals who possess values such as achievement, experience, innovation, vision, leadership, and community involvement. Her commitment to bettering the community is evident through her engagement with non-profit and community organizations, particularly NORLA (North Louisiana Preservation Project) where she serves as Vice President. Sanders’ reputation of success and involvement in the Shreveport area exemplifies her qualifications for the nomination of the Top Business Professional of the Year.
