Louisiana Lt. Gov. Billy Nungesser highlighted the economic impact of tourism at Shreveport P.R.I.D.E. Awards Thursday, May 9, to more than 350 attendees at the Horseshoe Casino & Hotel as part of National Travel & Tourism Week.
Nungesser delivered a keynote on how local communities benefit from tourism through examples of increased business and tax revenues.
The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau holds their annual P.R.I.D.E. (Proud Residents Involved in Developing the Economy) Awards in recognition of the outstanding men and women in the industry. Awards are given to those who exhibit excellence in the areas of tourism and hospitality. This year’s event honored 32 industry men and women.
