Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau VP of sales receives 15 Over 50 Award

Connect Association has recognized David Bradley, vice president of sales and services for the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau, as an honoree of Connect Association’s 2019 15 Over 50 Award.

These individuals recognized for the award are leaders and mentors who have moved the meetings industry forward for decades.

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of Connect Association’s 15 Over 50,” said Bradley. “As a native of Woburn, Massachusetts, I am proud to serve the great southern community of Shreveport-Bossier.”

Connect Association magazine’s 15 Over 50 award honors 15 event professionals who have spent their career moving the meetings industry forward. These individuals include meeting planners, sales managers and executives, destination marketing veterans, hoteliers, venue managers, chefs and those who serve in any other role vital to providing attendees with memorable experiences. Honorees will be recognized in the print edition of the magazine, online at www.connectyourmeetings.com and at Connect’s annual conference, which will be held Aug. 26-28, in Louisville, Ky.

Bradley began his career in the tourism industry as a desk clerk at a Holiday Inn in Somerville, Mass. He then went on to work in sales and operations at various hotels for over a decade. Bradley’s first leadership position at a destination marketing organization was at the Valley Forge Tourism and Convention Board, where he served as the director of convention and meeting sales for over 10 years. Bradley has brought his robust professional and leadership experience to the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau’s sales team.

Since he began his position at the tourist bureau in January 2015, the sales department has reported a 35 percent annual increase in conventions, reunions, tour groups, meetings and events booked in Shreveport-Bossier.

“We know that if we do our jobs right, a lot of people get to work,” said Bradley. “We pride ourselves in offering exemplary service to our clients and our partners.”
