Ribbon cutting to be held for renovated Festival Plaza Tower

A ribbon cutting will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019 to mark the end of the renovation of the iconic tower at Festival Plaza in Downtown Shreveport.

The event will be held at 1:30pm, at the tower.

The facelift was paid for by a generous donation from The Alta and John Franks Foundation, along with a reinvestment by Downtown Shreveport Unlimited.

DSU used proceeds from Mudbug Madness and Brew to help pay for the renovations, which included new lighting, paint, and other amenities that will be used by a number of festivals and events at Festival Plaza.

This is the beginning of a long term plan to improve Festival Plaza.
