by BIZ. Staff

The Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association (SBAA) and the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will host their next seminar, “Marketing Plans, Content Strategies and Creative… Oh My!” 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, at Shreveport Aquarium, 601 Clyde Fant Parkway, Shreveport.

Attendees are invited to attend a light breakfast at 8:15 a.m. prior to the seminar.

“We know that getting away from the office can sometimes be a difficult task, but we plan to make the most of your valuable time by offering morning seminars geared towards equipping you with the latest trends and tools to propel your attraction forward,” said Robin Jones, president of the Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association and executive director of the Bossier Arts Council.

The Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association is a membership organization for Caddo and Bossier Parish attractions that supports sustainable growth and attendance through exposure, education, resources and representation.

The seminar will feature a marketing strategies presentation by Sarah McKinney, senior account executive at Romph and Pou Agency, and a presentation about content marketing by Danielle Richard, owner and graphic designer at Richard Creative. Information will also be presented about how to participate in Be A Fan of Shreveport-Bossier 2019.

In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week, May 5-11, the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau and Shreveport-Bossier Attractions Association will be offering the Be a Fan of Shreveport-Bossier marketing promotion, May 1-31. The goal of Be A Fan of Shreveport-Bossier is to incentivize locals and visitors to explore Shreveport-Bossier’s attractions by offering promotional pricing and special events, as well as entering to win prizes from attractions.

The SBAA seminar is only for tourism-related attractions such as annual events, breweries, art galleries, festivals, museums, nature centers, outdoor recreation, performing arts and tour guides.

Members of SBAA attend for free and non-members cost $20 at the door. The seminar includes a light breakfast. To RSVP, call 318-213-8266 or email [email protected] by Friday, March 29.
