Dr. David A. Scott, a board-certified Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology physician, has joined Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport. Dr. Scott’s office, Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Gastroenterology Associates will be located at 1801 Fairfield Avenue, Suite 305.
Previously with Willis-Knighton Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. Scott has been practicing in the Shreveport area for more than 27 years. During this time, he also held positions including Chief of Staff and Chairman for the Department of Medicine. Dr. Scott received his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport where he also completed his residency and fellowship. Dr. Scott and his Nurse Practitioner Kathleen Porter will begin seeing patients for gastroenterology screenings, diagnosis and treatment at his new office on March 18.
Kathleen Porter, Nurse Practitioner, has joined Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport – Gastroenterology Associates at 1801 Fairfield Ave. Suite 305, Shreveport.
Porter has 21 years’ experience as a Nurse Practitioner, most recently with Dr. Scott at Willis-Knighton Gastroenterology Associates. She began her nursing career as a trauma and surgical intensive care nurse at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Ms. Porter holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas and a Master’s in Nursing from Northwestern School of Nursing in Shreveport.
