BPCC receives Resource Partner of the Year award at LSBDC Banker’s Luncheon

Bossier Parish Community College received the Resource Partner of the Year award from the Louisiana Small Business Development Center Thursday, March 7 at the 2nd Annual Banker’s Luncheon.

Northwest and Central Regional Director Dana Cawthon presented the award to Dr. Gayle Flowers, who said the partnership has been a positive collaboration for economic development in the community.

At the luncheon, area bank executives gathered hear about the resources available from LSBDC, specifically those targeting existing business entrepreneurs. Guest speakers included Steve Baham, of Louisiana Economic Development; Jared Hicks, of USAD; Mark Crews, of Eatel; and Danny Higdon from FINSYNC.

“The complimentary services available to business owners is comprehensive from these organizations. There is simply no reason for a business to fail in the State of Louisiana,” Cawthon said. 

The LSBDC offers business valuations, market research, develop strategies plans and financial analysis.
