Dana Cawthon recognized by state for helping entrepreneurs

Dana Cawthon, LSBDC Regional Director of Northwest & Central Region, received an honor for her efforts to inspire entrepreneurs.

DeRon Talley, LSBDC Marketing & Media Manager, recently presented a proclamation to Dana Cawthon, LSBDC Regional Director on behalf of Governor John Bel Edwards.

The honor was for Cawthon’s efforts to support rural entrepreneurialism has inspired individuals in business ownership.

Clients of the SBDC learn step-by-step how to execute their new ventures in the State of Louisiana and continue to be successful in the community.  Existing business owners can benefit from the Louisiana Small Business Development Center also. 

Ms. Cawthon specializes in business valuations, buy/sell agreements, and overall growing companies in Louisiana.  The partnership between LED and LSBDC permits the Center to counsel on LED’s Small and Emerging Business Development Program (SEBD), Economic Gardening, Bonding Assistance, and other programs the state has to offer.
