Bossier Parish Community College, Economic & Workforce Development, and AeroPro UAV, a Shreveport based commercial drone company, are teaming up to offer the FAA 107 Exam Prep class to those interested in pursuing a commercial career in the drone industry.
The six day course will take place at BPCC, March 30 through May 11 on Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The commercial drone market is expected to hit $17 billion by 2024. With an ever-growing adoption of commercial drones, it implies great affordability for businesses and operators in the fields industrial and enterprise inspections, agriculture, real estate, marketing and tourism.
But, to legally fly a drone for commercial use requires an FAA Part 107 pilot certificate – which includes passing a test with FAA.
The six day course will provide comprehensive UAS training to drone novices and advanced drone operators. The course will prepare participants for the FAA exam and include topics involving FAA regulations, weather, safety, operations and drone maintenance. A practice test will be given at the end of the session to gauge participant’s progress.
