Several NWLA business leaders named to LABI 2019 board, emerging leaders council

BATON ROUGE – Today at the Annual Meeting in Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI) formally announced its officers and Board of Directors for 2019, along with the members of the 2019 LABI Emerging Leaders Council, a group of distinguished entrepreneurs and young professionals. LABI is pleased and proud to be guided by some of the top leaders and talent from the Louisiana business community from every corner of the state.

Sonia Pérez, president of southeast states for AT&T, will serve as the chair of LABI for 2019. She replaces Tim Stine, CEO of Stine Lumber Company, who becomes the immediate past chair. Terry Baugh, Chief Financial Officer of D&J Construction Company, Inc., will serve as the board’s vice chair. Tom O’Neal, President of O’Nealgas, Inc., and Christel Slaughter, CEO, SSA Consultants, will serve as Secretary and Treasurer respectively, rounding out the slate of 2019 LABI Officers. Serving as chair of the Emerging Leaders Council is Jim Raines, partner, Breazeale, Sachse, and Wilson LLP.

Fourteen LABI members are new to the Board of Directors, and 19 leaders were nominated for another term. The northwest Louisiana area members are:
