Financial Advisors with Laveer Wealth Management earn professional designations

Two financial advisors with Laveer Wealth Management, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. in Shreveport, earned professional designations. Christopher P. Murphy, CRPC®,APMA®, financial advisor, recently earned the Accredited Portfolio Management AdvisorSM (APMA®) designation from the College of Financial Planning. Tanner L. Murphy, CRPC®, CFA®, financial advisor, recently earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) designation.

Individuals who hold the APMA designation have completed a course of study encompassing client assessment and suitability, risk/return, investment objectives, bond and equity portfolios, modern portfolio theory and investor psychology.

Professionals who earn the CFA designation successfully complete the rigorous requirements that include hundreds of hours of self-directed course work and a series of three sequential examinations covering investment valuation, corporate finance, economics, portfolio management and performance measurement. Individuals who hold the internationally-recognized CFA charter also agree to uphold the CFA Institute code of ethics and standards of professional conduct.

Christopher Murphy graduated from Millsaps College with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. He has nine years of experience with Ameriprise Financial in the financial services industry.

Tanner Murphy graduated from Texas Christian University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, degree. He has five years of experience with Ameriprise Financial and in the financial services industry.

Christopher Murphy and Tanner Murphy are cousins and have worked together for two years.
