Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau to introduce new Ambassador Program

Enrollment now open for Be a Fan of Shreveport-Bossier Ambassador Program, which  will educate participants on local attractions and the economic impact of tourism

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau will host the first installment of its all-new Be a Fan of Shreveport-Bossier Ambassador Program, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 14 at the Downtown Shreveport Visitor Center located at 629 Spring Street.

Cost to attend the program is $15 per person and enrollment is now open to the public at www.Eventbrite.com. To enroll, search www.Eventbrite.com for “Be a Fan.” Space is limited to 25 participants.

The program is designed to create “superfans” of Shreveport-Bossier while highlighting the importance of tourism and hospitality to the regional economy. Participants will include the hospitality industry, locals, and civic leaders. The day will begin with a brief orientation at the Tourist Bureau office followed by a guided bus tour of the city. The day will end with a quiz for prizes and the awarding of certificates to those who complete the program. Participants will be added to an e-mail database and kept up to speed on upcoming things to do, volunteer opportunities, and tourism and hospitality industry happenings.

The Be a Fan of Shreveport-Bossier Ambassador Program will be offered twice a year on an ongoing basis.
